Crazygrass live @ Spring Strawberry Music Festival - 2008 - After years of coming to the world famous Strawberry Music festival as jammers, Crazygrass finally got their break when the festival director asked them to play a “tweener” set between John Cowan (wow) and Ricky Skaggs (also wow). Crazygrass featured Sid Lewis on the banjo, Gary Dutra on guitar, Johnny Lombardo on bass, and Dave Breed playing the "drum bike". Special thanks to "Mendo" David McDowell for drum techie expertise! Crazygrass headlining at Strawberry or bust!!

Joe Craven & Sid Lewis, Live in Chico 2002 - "Loch Lomond" - Sid's first brush with "folk Fame"...after taking a couple of private lessons with Joe in 2001, he gathered up the courage to ask Joe if he would do a show with him. Much to his suprise the answer was yes, and the resulting show was held at the Chico Womens Center in 2002, M.C'd by none other than Dan DeWayne (see Gallery Page). This cut has Sid on Dobro and Joe on his inimitable fiddle style playing the beuatiful ballad Loch Lomond. Enjoy!
Joe Craven & Sid Lewis, Live in Chico 2002 - "Turkey in the Straw" - Being that the show was held around thanksgiving, Joe just had to do this one...check out the frighteningly realistic turkey gobble at the end!
Leftover Salmon with Sid Lewis - "Sally Goodin" - - In early 2000 jam band giant Leftover Salmon came thru Chico and played at the Senator Theater. After someone in the crowd told lead singer Vince that Sid was in the house, they dragged him up for a crazed ride with mandolinist Drew. Thanks to Kurt Van Doren for the tape! Here's what followed.........
Sid Lewis solo guitar Improvisation, Chico 2002 - One of the many shows where Sid opens the evening with a solo piece, this improvisational piece seems to wander from the Middle East, to Michael hedges, to classical to Irish...
