Details: Crazygrass has been a Northern California institution for a decade now, playing with such notables as Joe Craven and Radim Zenkl, and headlining at events like Strawberry Music festival, High Sierra, California WorldFest, etc. Sid Lewis describes the sound as “bluegrass on steroids”. The headlining band. Oregon based Green is for Go, is one of the most entertaining acts you will see. Sid met them at the Oregon Country Faire a few years ago, and they were playing a Britney Spears song bluegrass style. “They blew me away with their bluegrass/rap/comedy act” says Sid “and I want Chico to come out and see these guys. You’ll dance and laugh non-stop”.
The show is slated for Wednesday August 26th, 8pm at the Café Culture in Chico, 931 west 5th street. (Where the old Gold’s Gym by the tracks used to be). The show is all ages, and only $5 at the door.

The Beauchamp’s warmly invite you and your loved ones to the second Love Fest. a community celebration of live music, June 6, 7 & 8.
Join together with other friends and family for three days of camping under the stars in Auburn. We have an incredible line up of live bands and music from rock to bluegrass, samba to soul. Share the joy of music, support the artists, find your own inspiration and creativity...
Schedule: Music begins at 12 Noon Friday, June 6 and concludes mid-day, Sunday June 8. Gates open for entry on Thursday, June 5th anytime. (If you were here last year, you know that the primo spots will go early!)
Camping: Bring your tents or sleep under the stars. We request that you plan on camping for the full weekend so we can minimize car traffic. Trailer/RV space is available (Space is limited, prior reservations must be made). No hook-ups.
Food: Provide your own basic food, water, and beverage needs for the weekend. Food vendors will be providing yummy food starting Friday evening - Dinner, Saturday – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner and Sunday Breakfast. We welcome you to bring something to sell, share, or trade with the whole community. Camp stoves are OK but open fires will NOT be permitted.
Facilities: Plan on rustic camping. Porta potties will be available. Community cleaning station available for dishes. Outdoor shower (not heated) available.
Children: Children make up a wonderful part of the Love Fest…..bring them. However, it is a rural environment with wildlife and poison oak so it’s important that you come prepared to supervise the children you bring.

Details: Sid Lewis has been teaching music in Chico for over 10 years now, and has collected a formidable army of students. They range in age from 10 to 70, and are studying everything from Bach to hard rock.
Now it’s your chance to hear what they’ve been up to! Expect to be surprised at the 2nd annual Acoustic Collage Student Concert, which will take place at Moxies Café on Saturday April 8 at 5pm. You will hear teens singing songs they wrote, Teen bands rocking out and baby boomers playing bluegrass and swing. Sid plans to feature a lot of students only a few hours, so this show will defiantly not be monotonous. Each student will grace the stage for 3 songs, for about 3 to five minutes. Then it’s the next one!
“Imagine all styles of music put into a blender and served up in shots”, says Sid, who will be the promoter/sound man/stage manager and musician for the evening. “It’s always a bit chaotic when I do these things, but after the adrenaline wears off everyone has a great time!”
Sid welcomes the entire family down to Moxies, an all ages venue. Show is free to the public and will fill up fast, so show a bit early if you want to sit!
